New York,Updatesulawesi.id – President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, reaffirmed Indonesia’s strong commitment to supporting the Two-State Solution as the path to peace between Palestine and Israel.
The statement was delivered at the High-Level International Conference on the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, United States, on Monday (September 22, 2025).
The international forum, co-chaired by France and Saudi Arabia, gathered heads of state and representatives of global organizations. On the occasion, President Prabowo emphasized Indonesia’s consistent stance in advocating for world peace.
“I extend my appreciation for the New York Declaration, which paves the way toward achieving just and lasting security and peace. Through the Two-State Solution, the world can ensure the independence of Palestine,” President Prabowo said in his address.
According to him, without a fair solution, the prolonged conflict in the Middle East will never find resolution.
Indonesia believes that justice for the Palestinian people can only be realized through full recognition of Palestine’s independence and sovereignty.
In addition, Indonesia expressed its readiness to deploy peacekeeping forces in Palestine, as part of its tangible contribution to ending the war and ensuring the safety of civilians affected by the conflict.
“As a member of the United Nations that has consistently called for peace, Indonesia is prepared to play its part in maintaining regional stability by deploying peacekeepers,” President Prabowo stressed.
The New York Declaration, adopted at the forum, is regarded as a significant milestone in strengthening international efforts to resolve the Palestine-Israel conflict.
It focuses on accelerating the implementation of the Two-State Solution, halting violence, and guaranteeing security in the region.
Indonesia’s support further reaffirms the country’s role as one of the key advocates in Southeast Asia in championing Palestinian independence across international platforms.
Through President Prabowo’s call, Indonesia hopes the international community will unite in reinforcing its commitment to achieving lasting peace through the implementation of the Two-State Solution.
